Version d'Urraca (dans la galerie égyptienne du British Museum, Londres)
Ce bonnet a été inspiré par des chaussettes médiévales trouvées en Égypte et conservées au Textile Museum à Washington DC (États-Unis). Sur internet on peut en voir une reconstitution très soignée par Anahita.
J'ai adapté les motifs des chaussettes à la forme du bonnet norvégien le plus typique en utilisant le "gabarit" générique fourni par Hello Yarn sur son site (avec sa permission). D'où le nom "Oslo Cairo".

Urraca's version (Ancient Egypt gallery, British Museum, London)
My inspiration came from a Medieval Egyptian sock now kept in the Textile Museum in Washington DC, USA (cf. Anahita's rendering of the original sock ). I adapted its patterns to a generic Norwegian hat shape thanks to Hello Yarn's template (used by permission). Hence the Oslo Cairo name.
I am not translating the pattern but I will provide some basic guidelines for those willing to knit the hat.

Si vous lisez l'espagnol ou l'anglais, je vous renvoie aux versions dans ces langues, plus détaillées.
Monter 158 mailles (avec un montage tricoté par exemple) et suivre la grille jusqu'au rang 24, puis répéter les rangs 21-24 jusqu'à ce que la collerette mesure 15 cm de haut.
À 15 cm de hauteur, fermer avec un bord de picots:
Fermer 4 mailles, *monter 3 mailles, fermer 6 mailles, refaire glisser la maille (...) - Patrones

This is an English version of my Mochi mochi backpack pattern (it's shorter than the original because I have skipped translating the notes and felting instructions, since that information is widely available on the internet in English).
Because of its shape, Domokun (the mascot of a Japanese TV channel turned into some sort of a cult icon on the internet) lends itself to becoming a backpack. I borrowed the idea from this post on the Craftster forum.
